Effective July 2026
Belong France runs on your device. The information you enter, your residence dates, trips abroad, test progress and everything else about your situation, stays on your iPhone. We do not collect it, we never receive it and we cannot see it. There is no account and no login.
Belong France is made by Jordi Fakiani López, a sole trader based in Copenhagen, Denmark. If you have a question about this policy you can reach us at hello@fakianicorp.com.
Belong France works by letting you record your own situation, things like your residence history, your citizenship background, trips abroad, and your language and test progress. This information can be sensitive. It is stored only on your device. It is not sent to us, to any server we control or to any third party. When you delete the app, that information is removed with it.
Nothing personal. Belong France has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party software development kits that gather data about you. We do not build a profile of you and we do not know who our users are.
Belong France can show official announcements about immigration and nationality from Service-Public.fr, the French administration's information site published by the Direction de l'information légale et administrative (DILA). When the News tab loads, the app fetches Service-Public.fr's public news feed directly from the servers at service-public.gouv.fr. These are ordinary web requests, so those servers can see standard technical information such as your device's IP address, exactly as they would if you opened the website. We do not add any identifier to these requests, we do not tell them who you are, and we do not receive anything back about you. The filtering to immigration and nationality topics happens entirely on your device. If you turn on news notifications, that preference is stored on your device only. You can leave the News tab or keep notifications off if you would rather make no such requests.
Belong France offers an optional yearly subscription at 34,99 EUR per year, with a 7-day free trial. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through your Apple Account. We never see or receive your payment details. Apple processes the transaction and shares only aggregate, non-identifying sales information with us. Apple's handling of your purchase is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
Belong France is available in English and French. Your language choice is a simple preference stored on your device only.
If you have turned on Apple's optional sharing of analytics and crash data in your iOS settings, Apple may send developers diagnostic reports in a form that does not identify you. You can turn this off at any time in Settings, Privacy and Security, Analytics and Improvements. We use any such reports only to find and fix problems.
Because your information stays on your device and never reaches us, we do not act as a controller of it under the GDPR and we hold no copy to export or erase on your behalf. You stay in full control. You can change or clear your entries in the app, and deleting the app removes everything. If you believe we hold any personal data about you and you want to exercise a right of access, correction or erasure, contact us at the address above and we will respond. If you are in France, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL) or your competent data protection authority.
Belong France is not directed at children. It is intended for adults navigating French nationality and residence.
If this policy changes we will update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will be reflected in the app.
